There it Waits”
Depression like darkness,
It waits,
Then it comes stealing
No matter what I do.
I’m powerless over my depression as
I’m powerless over darkness, alone
I can not win, so,
I take my medication as given to me,
I ask for help to
Take the actions that set me free.
For so many years
I wasn’t part of the deal,
Today, with
The help that has been given to me,
I let life be life,
So, I can be real.
